We’re the Delaware Trail Elementary School Parent Teacher Support Group (PTSG) — a fun-loving, get-stuff-done crew of parents, teachers, staff, and community members who all have one thing in common: we care about making Delaware Trail the best it can be for our kids!

From planning exciting events to supporting our amazing teachers, we’re here to help make school a place where students shine and smiles are everywhere. Whether you have an hour or a whole weekend, there’s a place for you in the PTSG.

If you’re a parent or guardian at Delaware Trail—surprise! You’re already a member. Yep, you’re part of the team. 🎉

There are so many ways to get involved, make new friends, and make a difference. Join us this year to help create unforgettable memories and an awesome school experience for everyone. Let’s make this year one to remember—together!


Meeting Dates

The PTSG invites all of the Delaware Trail parents, teachers and staff to attend our meetings.  This is an excellent way to stay informed of all the awesome things happening at Delaware Trail and learn more about how you can get involved.  Meeting locations may vary so watch our website or our Facebook page for updates.  We have two meetings a year, fall and spring.

Board Members

President:  Sara Barker
Sara and her husband, Nate, have lived in Brownsburg since 2015. This year they have a fourth-grader and a first-grader at Delaware Trail. Sara works in healthcare, and enjoys traveling, volunteering and attending Brownsburg sports events with her husband and kids. This is Sara’s fourth year on the PTSG board and she looks forward to many years ahead with her boys at DT!

Vice President:  Lynsey DeLaCruz
A native Hoosier, Lynsey and her husband, Drew, have called Brownsburg home since 2016 and are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. Lynsey works in healthcare and enjoys spending time with her family. She loves discovering great food, traveling whenever the opportunity arises, attending sporting events, hiking with their dogs, and getting lost in a good book.

This year is especially exciting to celebrate  a  kindergartener starting at DT. She is passionate about fostering strong connections between families, teachers, and the school community and looks forward to helping make this school year a memorable one for all Delaware Trail staff, students, and families.

Treasurer:  Brandy Gronde
Brandy Gronde has lived in Brownsburg since 2016 with her husband, Chris, and their four boys after relocating from the DC area.  Her oldest graduated in 2020 and is currently in the United States Navy, she has a 9th grader at BHS, a 7th grader at East, and a 3rd grader at DT.  Brandy and her husband own and operate Gronde Photography in Brownsburg and she enjoys a flexible schedule so she can be involved at school as well as being able to offer her photography skills to the school when needed.  She has enjoyed working in the district since 2022.  She has spent much time volunteering for various events at the school and actively volunteers in the classroom as well as the school library. She loves being a part of such an active school community and looks forward to making the school year great for students, staff, and parents.

What has the PTSG done for Delaware Trail?

  • Purchased a Gaga Ball pit and replenished recess supplies
  • Aided teachers by providing over $13,000 in needed classroom supplies, teaching aides and educational subscriptions
  • Provided $1,500 toward the cost of class field trips
  • $1,000 toward the Character Education and Good Behavior Reward programs
  • Provided funds for the 5th grade party
  • Two $500 scholarships for former Delaware Trail students
  • Supplied $1,100 for Field Day (t-shirts for all students and staff, ribbons, trophies, etc.)
  • Over $600 in Christmas gifts for classrooms (educational games used for indoor recess)
  • $500 to the school’s music department
  • $650 toward the Token Tower in the school office​
  • Entertained students, faculty, and families with exciting events like Family Picnic, Donuts with Grownups and Winter Carnival
  • And more!
