There are many ways to be involved with the PTSG, and we are always seeking volunteers. We hope you will join us to make this school year amazing! Listed below are all of the PTSG events throughout the year. Please consider the ways you would like to help and click the VOLUNTEER button below.  This does not obligate you in any way, but instead puts you on the contact list for each event you select.

**Please note, a criminal history background check is required for anyone who volunteers at the school.  Your background check must be submitted through school corporation at no cost to you; any other background check is not accepted.  The state has changed the way background checks are performed and they are taking longer to be completed.  You will NOT be notified of the result, please check with your school office to confirm that it is complete.  Remember, you will NOT be able to volunteer during school hours or even have lunch with your child without an approved background check on file.**

Arrival, Dismissal, and Lunch Help
During the first few weeks of school, Kindergarten can be overwhelming.  There are many new procedures to remember and a whole new building to figure out.  We provide extra help during arrival, lunch, and dismissal times to make sure the kindergartners are where they need to be and comfortable with the new procedures.  We also offer extra lunch help for 1st and 2nd grade as they get back into the swing of things.

Staff Appreciation Committee

We love to show our appreciation to the Delaware Trail teachers and staff throughout the year and during Staff Appreciation Week in May.  If you like to help our teachers and staff feel appreciated, then this is the committee for you! Please join us to help plan special ways to celebrate these important men and women!

Book Fair –  September 7-11, 2020 and May 7-13, 2021
Scholastic Book Fairs are a fun and easy way to buy books and other fun things!  PTSG receives a portion of every dollar spent at our book fairs in the form of Scholastic Dollars, allowing us to purchase books and supplies for the entire school!

PTSG Meetings – 8/18/20, 11/17/20, 2/2/21, 4/6/21
We would love for you to attend our PTSG meetings, which occur four times during the school year.  At each meeting, we will update you on our budget and share information about upcoming events.  This is a great opportunity to ask questions and stay informed on what is going on at the school.  If you are interested in volunteering for a specific event, this is a great place to get more information.

Dog Jog – September 25, 2020
Dog Jog is our biggest fundraiser of the school year and involves the entire school. Students run laps around the BWMS track in an effort to raise money.   Every child will receive a student-designed Dog Jog t-shirt for no charge. Due to Covid-19, volunteers will be limited.

Winter Carnival – February 5, 2021
This is a school carnival on a Friday evening that is open to the community. So bring a friend, neighbor, or Grandma and Grandpa! There are games, food, and prizes handpicked by our committee. Fun for the whole family! This is a large event which requires a lot of volunteers. Luckily, volunteers can choose to either help the first or second half of the Spring Fling so there is still time to enjoy the carnival with your family!

Time with Teachers – April 23, 2021
One of our favorite events! Students can “bid” on designated activities they’d like to do with a teacher after school. Students will be sent home with a form on which they will make their highest “bid” and choose their top 3 activities. Make sure these are returned to school promptly as tiebreakers will be determined by which student returned their form soonest! Every student who bids ANY amount will be given an activity. Kids can be picked up in a simple car line at 5:00. Think of it as a one-day low cost childcare your student will LOVE!

Donuts with Dad – CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
Like Muffins with Mom, only with donuts. Because what father doesn’t want to share a plate of donuts with their kiddo before school?
CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19

Dine to Donate - TBD
Each Dine to Donate is held at a restaurant around Brownsburg.  The restaurant gives the PTSG back a percentage (usually 10-15%) of the profits made from Delaware Trail families during the Dine to Donate.  All you have to do is show up to the restaurant, enjoy a great meal and mention Delaware Trail when you pay!  Due to COVID-19, we have not yet scheduled any of these events for the 2020-2021 school year.
